With the advent of Covid-19, interest and visitation to National Parks has increased dramatically. As an outdoor activity, a surge of new hikers looked to National Parks for leisure from everyday life during the pandemic. For many, this opened up a new world as many started to share their experiences on social media which then added to the demand for these National Parks.
This in turn created problems for the National park system as park congestion, overcrowding, and understaffing of park rangers became apparent.  In the Federal Budget 2022, the US Government has allocated $3.5 billion annually in funding for National park infrastructure to address this increased demand.
M‍y role in the group was primarily to design and develop the Hub.
